Meet the Team

Brian Philbeck
I am a graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in Computer Science. My previous experiences are mainly focused in the financial industry (mutual fund investing, banking, and financial advisor software). I have also worked on a few websites in the retail industry. My favorite thing about working on the SDR team is the constant, open collaboration. On any given day I could be working with one or more members of the team on things ranging from database design, to UI layout, to complex business logic. This allows each developer the opportunity to become well versed in all aspects of software development.

Mike Linnen
I am a Software Architect with over 23 years of experience in developing software solutions in varying industries such as Retail, Manufacturing, Defense, Banking and Finance. I graduated from Stark Technical College in Ohio and quickly found myself working for a large defense contractor as a Field Engineer integrating hardware and software for large scale flight simulators. After 10 years in the defense industry I relocated to Arizona and worked for a company that specialized in building retail solutions for many retailers. I moved up the career path with this company to be a key team lead and architect building the v-next platform utilizing Microsoft .Net technologies. During my 8 year tenure with this company I discovered Agile as a development process. My next career step was to leave the larger company and pursue applying lean Agile practices in a startup venture in the banking industry. I enjoy the Lean Agile approach that we use at SDR because I have seen it produce positive results continuously. There is nothing more satisfying than getting instant feedback on what is being built from both product owners and existing team members.

Ronnie Dolinger
I am a graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Information Systems. My development experience is in the banking and financial, insurance, training, manufacturing and energy industries. My favorite thing about working on the SDR team is the Agile approach that we use in the development of our software. We work closely with our business partners and have open collaboration among teammates. The business partner is able to see actual results of our development every 10 days. This allows for a more open and dynamic dialog with the business.

James Morgan
I graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Computer Science and a Minor in Mathematics. Just after college, I moved south to take a position with a leading financial institution as a User Interface programmer and Business Analyst and have focused on financially-related and retail programming ever since. I focus on UI design and layout, but can often be found working in tandem with the rest of the team in implementing mid-tier business logic and database architecture. Working with the SDR team has been consistently enjoyable - a focus on collaboration and comprehensive domain knowledge ensure our talents are continually maximized and expanded.

Ken Warner
I am a graduate of North Carolina State University with a BS in Computer Science and a minor in Physics. Before joining Software Done Right, I managed several college bookstores and developed innovative software to reveal important customer trends and expedite business processes. At Software Done Right, each of us touches every part of the code, leading to high quality, peer-reviewed code. Through this our individual skills are strengthened and we work smarter for our clients. When I'm not writing awesome software, I like to play racquetball and spend time with my one year old daughter.
